In the design project "Design x Palliative" Care at Münster University of Applied Sciences, led by Prof. Dipl.-Des. Tina Glückselig and Dipl.-Des. Diana Cürlis, we worked as a Master Design course together with the Master Palliative Care of Münster University of Applied Sciences on various social design projects. The open-ended process and the formation of small groups consisting of designers and palliative care students allowed for individual approaches to the topic of palliative care. I worked on "SAG DU" together with my fellow student Laura Ruthemeyer and our expert Ulrike Boekhoff from the Palliative Care Master's program. Alongside her studies, Ulrike volunteers to look after families in a palliative context and visits a young girl, Mia (name has been changed here), who suffers from NCL a few times a month.
Together with Ulrike, we had the opportunity to accompany her there several times and get to know Mia. Because of this close contact, we were able to place Mia and her needs at the center of our project and work together to improve a game she was already familiar with and adapt it to her individual condition.
